Wisdom, in part, is taking what we learn and put it to good use for ourselves, others, and generations to come. Sorting through all the knowledge and getting to the wisdom is some of the exciting stuff of life. Growth comes as we learn to sift through the sea of information and work with wisdom.

Information overload is prevalent these days, with the Internet and more books than we could ever read. There are speakers who present fantastic information. The media also has its own pot of information. There is SO much information out there that we cannot soak it all in. Not even possible. We must pick and choose so we can grow.

Tidbit Tools

Take valuable tidbits from the multitude of information and run with those. That is wisdom in the sea of information.

What works for us one day may not later in our lives. What works for one person one day may not work for all of us every day. It is always changing and always applies differently to each person.

Chronic illness, pain, and trauma present a moving target at all times. Soak in what works, those valuable tidbits that work for you for the specific moment in time.

Hang on to the tidbits that become part of your character and keep building on that foundation. That way when the waves of hurt, misery, despair, and loneliness seem to overwhelm us, we have something solid to stand on.  As we gain confidence in who we are regardless of illness and trauma we can add more valuable tidbits to our tool chest that help us move down the road even farther.
